Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information we hold, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we hold very little.

Who we are

TJ Distribution is a trading name of TJ Arbitrage Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 14829732, registered office 39 Town End Drive, Doncaster, DN4 5FQ. What we collect and why

If you email us

We keep your name, email address and anything you choose to include, so we can reply and, if we do business together, manage that relationship. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running our business and responding to enquiries.

If you buy one of our products on Amazon

Amazon handles your account, payment and checkout under its own privacy notice. We receive the order information Amazon shares with its sellers. For the small number of orders we dispatch ourselves, this includes your name and delivery address, which we use only to send your order and keep our records. Our lawful bases are performing the contract with you and meeting our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.

When you visit this website

This site has no forms, analytics or advertising. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.

Cookies

We do not set any cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie (for example __cf_bm or cf_clearance) to tell people apart from automated traffic. These cookies do not track you across other websites and do not require consent, but we mention them so you know.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the providers that help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:

• Cloudflare, for website hosting, security and email forwarding
• Google, for our email inbox
• Brevo, for delivering the emails we send
• Amazon, for customer orders
• our accountants, for bookkeeping and tax

Some of these providers process information outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by contract clauses approved for UK transfers.

How long we keep it

• Emails and business correspondence: for as long as we are in contact, and then for up to six years in case of questions or claims.
• Order and accounting records: six years, as HMRC requires.
• Cloudflare's technical logs: for the short period Cloudflare keeps them to run and secure its service.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it to you or someone else. To make a request, email thomas@tjdistribution.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
